About PriceByModel
PriceByModel helps shoppers compare appliance prices by the exact manufacturer model number on the product label — not a “similar” or substitute SKU.
Who operates PriceByModel
PriceByModel is operated as an independent appliance price comparison service. It is not owned by Best Buy, Abt Electronics, or any appliance manufacturer.
What data we collect
Product pages show model identity (brand, model number, title), retailer offers (price, availability, delivery notes when provided), and product specs when retailers expose them. If you set a price alert, we store the email address, model number, and target price you submit so we can notify you when an observed price meets your target.
How prices update
Offers are pulled from approved retailer sources (currently Best Buy and Abt Electronics) and refreshed when product and catalog pages are loaded. Cached browse responses may lag briefly; each offer shows when it was last observed. Always confirm the final price on the retailer site before purchasing. Retailer links
PriceByModel does not sell appliances. When you click a deal, you go to the retailer's website to complete the purchase. Availability, delivery, installation, taxes, and checkout totals vary by location and are controlled by the retailer.

Exact model matching
Matching is based on the manufacturer model number (for example LRFLC2706S), normalized for case and separators. We prefer listings that share that exact model string — the same value printed on the appliance label — rather than recommending a different but “similar” SKU.
What “live price” means
A live price is the most recent offer amount we observed from a partner retailer for that exact model. It is not a guarantee of checkout price. Promotions, zip-code delivery fees, membership pricing, taxes, and stock can change between observation and purchase.
Limitations
Coverage currently focuses on refrigerators from Best Buy and Abt. Not every model or finish is listed. Specs and stock status depend on what retailers publish. PriceByModel may miss a retailer that carries the model, or show an offer that goes out of stock before you click through.
